Leadership

Pastor & Staff

Dr. Bill Gernenz

Lead Pastor

Pastor Bill came to us in February 2024 from deep in the heart of Texas, where he served as both Pastor and Youth Pastor at several churches. He and his wife, Heather, have six children and are eager to know and serve FBC and the Eldon community. His prayer is that through faithfully preaching God's Word, we would grow in our knowledge of Christ and take the gospel to our neighbors and the nations.

Haden & Taylor Liska

Youth Ministry Directors & Worship Leader

Haden
"My name is Haden, I am joyfully married to my wife Taylor and together we have been leading the Youth since August of 2023. I met Taylor at Southwest Baptist University where I attended college for nursing and graduated in 2019. Together, Taylor and I strive to live out Christ's qualities in all that we do. Our goal is for the Youth to know Jesus and to grow in their relationship with Him by providing a Christ-centered environment where we teach Biblical truths and display Jesus' example through actions.

1 John 3:18-19

A couple rapid fire facts about me:
I consider myself well-versed in most movies, games, and Green Bay Packers football (no hard feelings, Chiefs fans!). Also, while my wife may have all the musical talent, I can sing "Happy Birthday" at a top-tier level.
Taylor
Taylor came to know the Lord when she was about 6 years old. She has been a volunteer in worship ministry for about 14 years. Taylor attended School at Southwest Baptist University where she received her Bachelor’s in Social Work and Bachelor’s in Christian Studies. Taylor also attended grad school at Missouri State University where she received her Master’s in Social Work and is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Taylor’s heart is to worship God through songs both new and old. She was raised in a church that frequently did hymns and contemporary Christian music. “The goal for worship on any given Sunday is to truly worship the Lord no matter who is playing or singing. It’s always for and about the Lord”.

Taylor enjoys helping in the youth program with her husband Haden and has a heart for teens. Taylor enjoys reading fiction and can have a good conversation about marvel movies.

Fun Facts:
(a) Taylor traveled in an indie band while in High School.
(2) Taylor can play 6 instruments.

Julie Enloe

Children's Ministry Director

Julie has faithfully served as Children's Ministry Director since April 2017.

Favorite verse: Jeremiah 29:11

Julie loves the biblical book of James. Her hobby is to listen to books on Audible (she uses her credit quickly and then works through the free books). Her favorite genre is Christian suspense ("I love a good mystery!") She enjoys old shows like Gunsmoke, Cheyenne, etc.

If she had written down all the funny stories and cute things kids have said and done over her years of childcare, it would for sure be a best seller!

Teresa Carroll

Church Secretary

Teresa has faithfully served as our church secretary since 1997... or through 3 Pastors, 4 Assoc. Pastors, 5 Youth Ministers/Leaders, and 4 Music Leaders.

I am a mom of 3 girls and their husbands. Grandma to 9 wonderful kids (5 boys & 4 girls).

I like to listen to Praise & Worship, Classic Country, & 70/80's soft rock.

Favorite place to be, a warm sunny beach.

Quote I would like to say to everyone:
"It's in the newsletter/bulletin, has been for 3 weeks!!!"  :)
